This course will provide participants with the knowledge and skills needed to provide resuscitation to a patient who is not breathing or who does not have a pulse.  Topics covered include rescue breathing, airway obstructions, cardiac arrest, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), the use of a bag-valve-mask (BVM) device, the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED), and two-rescuer CPR.  Care for adults, children and infants is addressed in this course.

Individuals who successfully complete this course will receive certification from the American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI).

There is a $10 certification fee for non-Squad personnel who attend this course.
