This course provides a comprehensive guide to urban search.  It compares factors of an urban/suburban incident with wilderness search, including pre-planning, search management, special investigation considerations, use of resources, and documentation.  Participants will learn how to understand your urban environment - residential, retail, business, industrial and/or recreational and develop pre-plans accordingly; conduct thorough investigations and interviewing including training search personnel in door-to-door canvassing; and develop an accurate profile of the missing person using new urban specific data from the International Search & Rescue Incident Database (ISRID).

This is day two of a two day course.

Pre-registration is required for this course, and prospective participants must register by April 6.  You can register online at: https://kyem.ky.gov/training/Pages/SAR.aspx

Participants must have successfully completed a Basic Search and Rescue (BSAR) course prior to attending this class.  You can upload a scanned copy of your BSAR certificate during the online registration process.
