This course provides a comprehensive guide to urban search. It compares factors of an urban/suburban incident with wilderness search, including pre-planning, search management, special investigation considerations, use of resources, and documentation. Participants will learn how to understand your urban environment - residential, retail, business, industrial and/or recreational and develop pre-plans accordingly; conduct thorough investigations and interviewing including training search personnel in door-to-door canvassing; and develop an accurate profile of the missing person using new urban specific data from the International Search & Rescue Incident Database (ISRID).
This is day two of a two day course.
