This is day two of a two day course.  Students must complete both days of training in order to receive credit for this course.

This course is designed to provide guidance to search and rescue (SAR) field responders on the best practices and techniques for ground search operations.  Information about the duties and tasks of SAR field responders, current information on responder clothing and equipment, as well as details on the latest search techniques will be provided in this course.  Information on SAR activities such as hasty search, grid search, subject packaging and transport, and the use of specialized teams will also be covered.

There will be field work during the afternoon on Saturday (4/27).  All students must have water, two flashlights, sturdy shoes (no tennis shoes), and appropriate clothing for the field exercise.  If you have a SAR pack, please bring it for the exercise.  All students should bring a pencil and paper to class.
